1. Connect an Ethernet cable to your PlayStation3 or PlayStation4 system. 
   
2. From the Home menu, select Settings, and then select Network Settings.
    Select Internet Connection Settings. A confirmation screen appears stating that you will be disconnected from the Internet.
3. Select Yes. 
4. Select Easy.
   After you confirm the network configuration, a list of settings is displayed. Depending on your network environment, additional settings for PPPoE, proxy server or IP address may be required.
   For details on these settings, refer to the instructions that came with your network device.
5. Save your settings and then test your connection by selecting Test Connection.
6. The system attempts to connect to the Internet. 
7.  Confirm the connection test results. If a successful connection has been made, information on the network is displayed.

To set up the PlayStation2, you must first install the network adapter according to the instructions found in the Installation Guide. Once you have installed the network adapter, you are ready to begin the Internet Service Provider setup process.

1. Turn on the PlayStation2 and load the Network Adapter Startup Disk. Once the startup disk is loaded, press X to enter the ISP Setup. The ISP Setup will begins to load. 
2. Once the ISP Setup has loaded, press X to continue. Your PlayStation will search for the network adapter.
3. After the network adapter has been found, press X to continue.
4. Press X again to continue. Wait while the data is accessed.
5. Select New and then press X to continue.
6. Type a name for your ISP setting. For example, you could type "Verizon" or any name you want to associate with your connection.
7. When asked if you currently subscribe to an ISP service, select YES and press X to continue. 
   
8. For connection type, choose High-Speed Connection (Cable or DSL) and press X to continue. 
9. Select Automatic Settings and press X to continue. 
10. When asked if your ISP requires a User ID and Password, select No and press X to continue. 
11. When asked if your Internet Service Provider requires you to input a DHCP Host Name, select NO and press X to continue. Wait while your network connection is tested. 
12. Once the network connection test is successful, press X to save the configuration to your memory card. Your configuration information is saved to your memory card. It's important that you do not remove your network card while the information is being saved. 
13. Press X to return to the main menu. 
14. To test out your connection you can choose DEMOS and press X to continue.
15. Follow the onscreen-instructions on the screen to play an online game demo.

Before you begin: You’ll need your SSID, encryption key and Security Key Type (WPA or WEP).You can obtain this information one of three ways:

• Review the sticker on the back of your router. The sticker displays the SSID and encryption key information. By default routers are configured as WPA. You may have to choose WEP if the device you wish to connect is not accepting WPA mode.
• Log in to your router from a PC already connected to your Fios network. Instructions you follow depend on the type of router you use to connect to Verizon Fios.

To connect a Wii to your wireless network:

1. From the Wii console's Main Menu, click on the Wii button in the lower left corner. 
2. On the Settings screen, click Wii Settings. 
3. In the Wii System Settings, click the blue arrow on the right to reach the second screen of options, and then click the Internet button.
4. Select Connection Settings. 
5. Select any connection labeled as None, and then select Wireless Connection
6. Select Search for an Access Point. The Wii console will search for nearby wireless connection points. 
7. Select OK to display a list of available access points and then select the access point that matches your router's SSID. 
8. If the connection appears locked, use the right arrow to go to Security Settings. Select WEP or WPA. Enter the encryption key from your wireless router. Click Confirm and then Save. 
9. Click Save then click OK to save your connection settings. 
10. Click OK again to start an automatic connection test. If the connection fails, refer to the manufacturer's support website or console documentation for further assistance.

To connect a Wii U to your wireless home network:

1. From the Wii U Menu, click System Settings. 
2. Using the Left Stick, select the Internet icon and press the A Button. 
3. Select Connect to the Internet. 
4. The Wii U will search for available Wi-Fi networks in your area. 
5. Once the search completes, use the Right Stick to scroll up and down through the list of networks and select the name of your Wi-Fi network. 
6. If prompted, use the on-screen keyboard to enter your Wi-Fi network's security key (wireless password) and select OK when finished.
   
   
   • If you receive an error message stating The security key you entered is incorrect, the security key you entered was not a valid security key.
7. The Wii U will now perform a connection test.
   
   
   • If the connect test fails, select OK to receive an error code and detailed information on why the connection test failed. You can use Nintendo's Error Code Lookup Tool to get information on resolving the error.
8. If the connection test is successful, select OK to continue. 
9. When asked if you would like to make this your default connection, select Set if you wish this to be your default connection or No if you do not. 
10. The Wii U will now ask you to perform an update, select "Update" to perform the system update, or select "Cancel" to skip this process.
    
    Nintendo recommends performing the system update as this will ensure you have access to recently released applications and services.

Before you begin: You’ll need your network's SSID, encryption type (WPA2, WPA or WEP), and encryption key. You can find this information in one of three ways:

• Review the sticker on the back of your router or gateway. The sticker displays the SSID and encryption key information. By default, some routers and gateways are configured as WPA. You may have to choose WEP if the device you wish to connect is not accepting WPA mode. 
• Log in to your router or gateway from a computer already connected to your wireless network. The instructions you follow depend on the type of router or gateway you use to connect to Verizon High Speed Internet.

To connect a Nintendo DS to your wireless network:

1. Insert a wireless compatible game into your Nintendo DS and turn the unit on.
2. Navigate to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings screen. You may need to review your game's user manual to find how to access this screen because it varies between games.
3. Select Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings.
4. Select an available connection. "None" will display under the name of the connection if it is available.
5. Select Search for an Access Point.
6. The name of your wireless access point will display. If no access point is displayed, you are out-of-range of your router and will need to move closer to the router.
7. If there is a blue lock that is unlocked, tap the name of your access point and then tap OK.
8. If there is a red lock that is locked, tap the name of the access point and enter the WEP encryption key for your network. Tap OK to save your settings.
9. If there is a gray lock that is locked, your router's network security settings are not supported by the Nintendo DS. You will need to switch to WEP or WPA encryption or remove the security setting when connecting with the Nintendo DS.

To connect a Nintendo DSi to your wireless network:

1. Turn on your Nintendo DSi and click the wrench icon to display your system settings.
2. Scroll to page 3 and select Internet.
3. Click Connection Settings.
4. The remaining steps vary depending on whether your wireless network is running WEP, WPA2, or WPA network encryption. See below starting with 5
Note: Your router must be set to WEP encryption to play Nintendo DSi games online.

Using WEP encryption

5. Click one of the available connections. It will have "None" in the field beside the name of the connection.
6. Click Search for an Access Point.
7. Select your access point.

• If there is a gold lock that is unlocked,
  • Tap the name of your access point and then tap OK.
• If there is a gold lock that is locked,
  • Tap the name of the access point and enter the WEP encryption key for your network in the WEP field.
  • If you're using WPA or WPA2 encryption on your network, tap Change Security Settings and enter your WPA or WPA2 encryption key.
  • Tap OK to save your settings.
    Note: To make sure we do all we can to protect your information, our wireless routers have security settings that are available to help protect your home wireless network. Using the strongest network security available will go a long way to secure your home network and information against unauthorized access. Verizon strongly recommends that you upgrade to WPA2 encryption, which is available with your current router and provides the highest level of network security available today, and that you create a strong, unique encryption key/password.
    
    While we recommend that you upgrade to WPA2, if you prefer to use less-secure WEP encryption, it is critical that you create a strong, unique WEP encryption key / password and change it regularly. Please do NOT use the WEP encryption key that is printed on the label of your router. Instructions may be found here.
• If there is a gray lock that is locked, your router's network security settings are not supported by the Nintendo DSi. You will need to switch to WEP encryption or remove the security setting when connecting with the Nintendo DSi.
  • Turn your Nintendo DSi off and then back on.
  • Click the wrench icon.
  • Scroll to page 3 and select Internet.
  • Click Connection Settings.
  • Select Advanced Setup.
  • Click one of the available connections. It will have "None" in the field beside it.
  • Click Search for an Access Point.
  • Select your access point. The lock should now be gold.
  • If your network is using WEP encryption, enter the WEP encryption key in the WEP field.
  • If your network is using WPA encryption, click Change Security Settings and enter your WPA encryption key.
  • Click OK to save our settings.
• If no access point is displayed, you must move closer to the router.

Using WPA2 or WPA encryption

5. Click Advanced Settings.
6. Select one of the available connections. It will have "None" in the field beside it.
7. Click Search for an Access Point.
8. Select your access point.

• If there is a gold lock that is unlocked,
  • Tap the name of your access point and then tap OK.
• If there is a gold lock that is locked,
  • Tap the name of the access point and enter the WEP encryption key for your network in the WEP field.
  • If you're using WPA or WPA2 encryption on your network, tap Change Security Settings and enter your WPA or WPA2 encryption key.
  • Tap OK to save your settings.
• If no access point is displayed, you must move closer to the router.

To connect your Xbox to a wireless network:

1. To open the management console, type http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar of your web browser. 
2. Enter the router username and password. If the username and password has never been changed, then the default login is:
   
   
   • Username: admin
   • Password: password
3. Select Wireless Settings from the router console. Write down the SSID and WEP key (they'll be needed later).
   
   
   • Note: Before a computer can connect to the router through a wireless signal, it must be configured with the appropriate SSID and WEP key.
4. From the Xbox Dashboard, select Settings and then select Network Settings. 
5. Click Advanced, and then click Wireless. 
6. From the Wireless Status screen, select Settings. 
7. The router can be configured to either broadcast or not broadcast its SSID.
   
   
   • If your router is configured to broadcast its SSID
     • From the list of SSIDs in the Select Network screen, select the SSID that you wrote down in step 3.
   • If your router is not configured to broadcast its SSID
     • Select OTHER from the list on the Select Network screen. Then use the Xbox Dashboard virtual keyboard to enter the SSID that you wrote down in step 3.
8. From the Wireless Settings screen, select Network Mode as Infrastructure. Then select Security Type and configure the Xbox Compatible wireless bridge with the same security settings (NONE, 64-bit WEP, or 128-bit WEP) as the wireless router. 
9. Press A to save the new settings, and then press B to go back. 
10. From the Wireless Status screen, check that your Xbox console is connected to the network name (SSID) specified in step 3. Press B twice to go back. 
11. From the Network Settings screen, select Connect. 
12. From the Connect Status screen, verify that the Xbox console is connected.

Connect to the Internet

1. The first step is to connect your Xbox 360 console to your Internet connection. Here’s how:

• Plug one end of a network cable into a port on your router or gateway. You might need a long network cable, depending upon on the location of your router or modem. Note If you do not have a router, you can plug the network cable directly into your modem.
• Plug the other end of the network cable into the back of your console.

Test your connection

1. Now that your console is connected to the Internet, test your connection to Xbox LIVE. To do that, follow these steps:
   1. Press the Guide button on your controller (Xbox button in the center of your controller).
   2. Go to Settings, and then select System Settings.
   3. Select Network Settings.
   4. Select Wired Network if you are prompted to do so.
   5. Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.
   6. Select Yes if you are prompted to update your console software.
