Needed a case to protect iPad and encourage apple pen to stay in place. This is perfect and the kickstand and detachable keyboard is a serious bonus. The backlight on the keyboard is perfect for low light use and pops off for note taking or switching to keyboard connected on hub. Got one for 12.9 coming.
