The Just Kids plan is a child-friendly smartphone plan that gives kids an unlimited ability to learn, grow and stay in touch with family. Just Kids lets parents manage screen time, content and more (with Smart Family features).

Just Kids comes with the Verizon Smart Family app, letting you select your kid's contacts, set data usage, enable content filters to block inappropriate content, limit access to certain apps, track location and more. TT

The Just Kids plan includes:

• Unlimited 4G LTE / 5G Nationwide TT data at a maximum speed of 5 Mbps TT
• Verizon Smart Family Premium for parental control and location tracking ($9.99/month value)
• Unlimited talk and text with up to 20 parent-approved contacts
• DVD-quality streaming (480p)

It's easy to add a Just Kids line to your family account.

Note:

• On 8/20/20, we upgraded the Just Kids plan from 5 GB/month 4G LTE data to unlimited 4G LTE data at 5 Mbps speed. If you had Just Kids before that date, your plan changed automatically. You can check your Just Kids data in My Verizon.
• Just Kids is not eligible to add 5G Ultra Wideband access.

To add a Just Kids plan to your account, you must have at least 1 unlimited plan that can be mixed and matched (i.e., Get More Unlimited, Do More Unlimited, Play More Unlimited, Start Unlimited, Above Unlimited*, Beyond Unlimited*, Go Unlimited*) to be the "parent" line for the Just Kids line.

If you don't have one of these unlimited plans, it's easy to start an account with an unlimited plan or change your plan  in My Verizon or the My Verizon app.

When you have at least 1 eligible unlimited plan, you can add a line in My Verizon and choose the Just Kids plan.

Just Kids includes Smart Family Premium, an account-level service you can use to set smarter boundaries for the Just Kids line and other lines on your account, including:

• Set up to 20 trusted contacts with whom the child line has unlimited talk and text.
• Pause the internet.
• Filter content and set limits and alerts for data usage and purchasing.

The Smart Family Premium location feature lets you monitor your child's whereabouts:

• Set alerts to know when your child arrives at home or school.
• Your child can view your device's location (when your device and Smart Family location are set to "on").
  • For location accuracy, you need to pair the Smart Family app on your phone with the Smart Family Companion app on your child's smartphone.

Just Kids is a single line plan and its data can't be shared. You need a Just Kids plan for each child's smartphone line. The more Just Kids lines you add, the lower the cost per line.

Pinna is a screen-free, ad-free audio streaming service that's custom-made for kids ages 3-12. Just Kids customers can access Pinna's enriching, kid-friendly content on us for 60 days.

We'll send the account owner the Pinna offer by email within 10 days of the Just Kids plan activation. The promotion automatically ends after 60 days. You'll have the option to sign up for a paid subscription directly with Pinna.

Anyone with a Verizon unlimited plan that can be mixed and matched can add a Just Kids plan to his or her account:

• The Just Kids line must be a smartphone.
• The unlimited "parent" line can be a basic phone or smartphone. However, to use location services and content filters, the Smart Family parent app must be on a smartphone.

Unlimited plans that can be mixed and matched:

• Currently available: Start Unlimited, Play More Unlimited 5G, Do More Unlimited 5G, Get More Unlimited 5G, Just Kids.
• These plans are no longer available. If you already have these plans, you can mix and match our current plans with them: Above Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited, Go Unlimited.

Yes, all of the Just Kids smartphone lines count toward the limit of 10 lines you can have on your account when you mix and match unlimited plans. You can add as many Just Kids lines as you want up to the overall 10-line limit.

You must have at least 1 unlimited plan on your account to have a Just Kids plan on the account. If all unlimited plans are removed:

• The Just Kids line is suspended in 48 hours and is disconnected within the next bill cycle.
• You'll get a message letting you know you can change the Smart Family Premium service to regular pricing.
• You can choose to change the Just Kids line to a different plan.

Note: If you suspend your unlimited line, the Just Kids line stays active.

You can change your plan any time in My Verizon. If you want to keep Smart Family, after changing the Just Kids line in My Verizon, you can add Smart Family as a separate service to your account.

Note: After you remove Verizon Smart Family from your account, your restriction settings stay in place for up to 7 days.

The cost of the Just Kids plan depends on:

• How many lines with unlimited plans are on your account.
• If you use Auto Pay and paper-free billing you get a $10/month discount per line.

Just Kids plan cost with unlimited plans:

For example, if you have 1 Go Unlimited plan, 1 Above Unlimited plan, 2 Play More Unlimited plans and 1 Get More Unlimited plan on your account and you get 2 Just Kids lines, that makes a total of 7 lines. The cost for each Just Kids line is then $25/month when you use Auto-pay and paper-free billing.

As part of our commitment to support the men and women who serve our country and our communities, Verizon wireless offers discounts on wireless products and services to eligible nurses, teachers, military personnel, veterans, students and active duty, retired and volunteer state and local first responders.

This discount depends on how many unlimited data plans you have:

• 1 phone - $10 discount per account
• 2 - 3 phones - $25 discount per account
• 4+ phones - $20 discount per account

Other discounts

Just Kids isn't eligible for an employer or corporate plan discount. But Just Kids customers can get a $10 discount per phone line each month for using Auto Pay and paper-free billing.

No. Just Kids doesn't come with Apple Music included and isn't eligible for the 6-month free Apple Music promotion. You can add Apple Music directly from Apple as a paid subscription.

No. The Just Kids plan is not eligible for the Disney+ On Us promotion and does not come with Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu included.

No. The Just Kids plan isn't eligible for the discovery+ on us promotion and doesn't come with discovery+ included.

If you already have Smart Family basic or premium service and you add a Just Kids plan:

• The cost of Smart Family is removed from your account and you get the Smart Family Premium service at no charge.
• The Smart Family restrictions you had in place are kept and you can add new restrictions for the new Just Kids line.
• Everyone on your account is automatically included as a trusted contact (overriding the trusted contacts that were in place). Trusted contacts can be edited as needed.

Yes. You can set a different unlimited line to be the "parent" line for the Just Kids plan.

Before setting a line as a parent, first set the line as an account manager in My Verizon online or the My Verizon app. Go to Profile Settings, then Assign Account Managers.

When Just Kids is added, you'll get an email with a link to Verizon Smart Family to set it up on your phone and or desktop.

Yes, your child can use the Just Kids line and smartphone outside of the US by adding an international calling plan.

• The Just Kids line will incur roaming charges if used outside the US (including Canada and Mexico) without an international calling plan.
• The trusted contacts restriction doesn't work when the Just Kids line has service outside the US.
• Some Smart Family features may not be available outside of the Verizon's domestic coverage area.

The Just Kids plan, through Verizon Smart Family, includes unlimited international text messaging from the US to trusted contacts. Additional charges apply for International long distance calling.

If your child often needs to make calls to another country, you can add one of our international calling plans for the Just Kids line.
