Nurses unlimited mobile plan discount FAQs

To qualify for the nurses discount you must:

• Have at least 1 smartphone or basic phone on a qualifying Verizon monthly unlimited plan.
• Be the Account Owner or Account Manager. Visit our Account Manager FAQs to learn how to add an Account Manager.
• Be a currently-employed nurse (LPN, LVN, NP or RN) or a currently-employed respiratory therapist with a valid National Provider Identifier (NPI) number.
• Apply online through our Nurses discounts page.
• Validate your employment as part of the discount registration.
• Re-validate your employment about once a year (we’ll send you a reminder).

Eligible nurses and respiratory therapists who have a Verizon account with at least 1 smartphone or basic phone on 1 or more of these Verizon plans to mix and match can get a monthly discount:

• Start Unlimited, Play More Unlimited, Do More Unlimited, Get More Unlimited, Just Kids*
• Go Unlimited**, Beyond Unlimited**, Above Unlimited purchased on or after 6/18/18

Note:

• Go Unlimited**, Beyond Unlimited** and Above Unlimited are no longer available to add to accounts. If you have these plans you can keep them. You can also mix and match them with our current unlimited plans.

*The Just Kids plan requires a parent line with an unlimited data plan.

**Go Unlimited and Beyond Unlimited plans purchased on or before 6/17/18 can't be mixed and matched and are not eligible for this discount. You can switch to a current unlimited plan any time in My Verizon.

The monthly nurses and respiratory therapist discount amount depends on how many phones on qualifying unlimited plans you have:

• 1 phone - $10/month discount per account
• 2 – 3 phones - $25/month discount per account
• 4+ phones - $20/month discount per account*

If you already have a qualifying unlimited plan, validate your nursing or respiratory therapist status and sign up for the discount on our Nurses discounts page. Choose Check Eligibility to get started.

If you don’t yet have a qualifying unlimited plan, here's how to change your plan:

• My Verizon online: Go to the My Plan page.
• My Verizon app: Open the menu in the top left. Tap Account. Tap My Plan and follow the prompts.

When your unlimited plan is active, return to our Nurses discounts page to sign up.

Note: You can register for a nurses discount before you get a qualifying unlimited plan. However, your discount starts only when you activate a qualifying plan on your account.

Yes. You can also have other discounts on your account with the nurses discount (with qualifying plans), including:

• Mobile + Home Rewards
• Monthly Auto Pay and paper-free billing discount

Only the nurse or respiratory therapist can apply. However, the discount will apply to the entire account, meaning nurse and respiratory therapists’ family members on the same account will receive the discount as well. To be able to register and validate for the discount, the person applying must be both:

• The employed nurse or respiratory therapist
• The Verizon Account Owner or Account Manager

If the account is in the name of a family member or friend and not the nurse, complete a Transfer of Service before registering for the discount.

No. At this time, only active nurses and respiratory therapists are eligible to apply.

No. You must have a valid National Provider Identifier (NPI) number to apply.

Verizon recognizes the contributions of all those who are in the healthcare profession, especially during these trying times. Many of our spouses, family members, and friends are with you on the front lines helping serve our communities.

Our Those Who Serve program is available to these groups across the US. This broad availability requires us to use nationally-standardized validation methods. We also must comply with regulations for those employed by local or state governments. As a result, certifications and licenses for select professions are required. We continue to review expanding the program to include other groups.
