While you're in the US, you can make calls to another country using your device. If you call other countries only occasionally, you can pay a standard per-minute rate.

• Making international calls while in the US to certain countries may be restricted for a variety of reasons. However, you can always place an international call from your mobile device using a calling card.

These countries are included with Global Calling Plus (formerly Unlimited Together - World):

Global Calling (formerly Unlimited Together - North America) includes unlimited calling to landlines and devices in:

• Canada
• Mexico
• Guam
• Northern Mariana Islands

The charge for a call or message from your mobile device to a landline is called a landline terminating charge. The charge for a call or to send a message from your mobile device to a mobile number is called a mobile terminating charge.

The charge for an international call while in the US includes the airtime charge from your plan, in addition to the per-minute rate based on what type of phone answered the call.

Yes, we offer 2 different features, International Services Enabled Lite and International Services Enabled, which let you make international calls from your Verizon mobile device. International Services Enabled Lite is included with your plan and lets you make international calls from the US to all countries, except:

To make calls from the US to any of these 18 countries, or to make calls to other countries while traveling outside the US (except for calls back to the US or calls within the country in which you're traveling), you must add International Services Enabled to your account. To add International Services Enabled to your account, your account must have been active for at least 34 days and be in good standing. If your account has been active for less than 34 days, contact Customer Service so that we can determine if you're eligible.

You must first meet eligibility requirements to add international calling to your line or account, including a minimum payment history and contract term requirements. If you're eligible to add International Service while in the US plan, you can do so from the International Usage and Services page in My Verizon or through the Add/Change Features section in My Business.

You can add an international long distance plan to your device's line:

• In My Verizon online.
• In the My Verizon app - Choose Account from the top left menu, then choose My Plan and International (for shared data plans), or choose a line and click Manage Plan (for unlimited plans). Follow the prompts.
• By sending a text to 4004:
  • Global Calling Plus – text the word “Plus”
  • Global Calling – text the word “Global”
  • Global Choice – text the name of your selected country keyword (i.e., Argentina, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, Chile, China, Colombia, Dom Rep, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, Venezuela, Vietnam)
    
    Note: Any existing line level international long distance plan you have will be removed when you add Global Choice. Any existing account level international plan will be removed from all lines when you add Global Choice to any line on the account.

To place a call while in the US to a country that uses 10-digit dialing, simply enter the 10-digit phone number you wish to call, then tap the Call button.

To place a call while in the US to all other countries, you'll start with 011. Next, you must enter the country code, followed by the number you wish to reach.

For example, if you'd like to call a number in France:

1. Enter 011 and the country code 33.
2. Enter the phone number.
3. Tap the Call button.

No, you won't be charged international rates if you're in the US and someone calls you while they're outside the US.

You can use our free number blocking service to block calls and messages from domestic and international numbers from countries that follow the 10-digit North American numbering plan. If you subscribe to Verizon Smart Family™ or Usage Controls, you can block any international number.

To block all international calls, please call 611 and speak to one of our representatives. Calls to Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Guam and Northern Marianas are not international.

To allow international calls, you can add an international calling plan on the Change Your Plan page in My Verizon.

International messaging is automatically included when you enable international services on your account.

International multimedia message (MMS) coverage is available for certain countries and mobile operators within those countries.

To check availability by country, go to our International Services (while in the US) page, and enter a country in the search field. You'll see the multimedia messaging services available for that country.

To send an international message while in the US:

• To a country that uses 10-digit dialing: Just use the 10-digit phone number
• To all other countries: Enter 011, then the country code of the country you're texting, followed by the number you want to message.

For example, if you'd like to text a number in France:

1. Enter 011.
2. Enter the country code 33.
3. Enter the phone number you want to text message.
