• Standalone internet means that you’re signing up for access to internet service only, without paying for other bundled services like a landline or TV. Verizon’s internet only options for home internet service include the screaming-fast speeds and reliability of Verizon Fios as well as traditional High Speed Internet (DSL) service, which provides fast speeds, proven performance and 99.9% network reliability. And, in an expanding list of cities, we’re also rolling out next-generation, ultra-fast 5G Home Internet. All offer the freedom of no annual contract, standalone internet with a variety of speeds and price points. So you’re sure to find an internet only connection option that meets your needs and budget.

• How do I know if standalone internet is right for me?

• The answer depends on your lifestyle and what communication services you need most. For example, if you use your cell phone almost 100% of the time instead of your landline; if you have another way to contact 911 if your mobile phone provider doesn’t offer this service; and/or if you get most of your entertainment from streaming services, an internet only plan might be perfect for you.
  
  They can also be a great fit for budget-conscious students, renters and people whose living situation is in flux. All of Verizon’s standalone internet plans are no annual contract internet options that don’t require a long-term contract.

• How much is Verizon internet only?

• That depends on the service and the speed you choose. Fios by Verizon offers a wide variety of internet only plans with speed and pricing options to meet many different budgets. For the most affordable basic browsing, you can choose a 200 Mbps plan. For faster downloads, streaming and operating multiple devices at once, you might pay a little more and opt for 400 Mbps. And if you’re ready for a massive amount of bandwidth, crazy-fast speeds of up to 940/880 Mbps, and the ability to power up to 100 devices at once, you can go big and get Fios Gigabit Connection.
  
  In areas where Fios isn’t available, Verizon also provides High Speed Internet (DSL) in several different speed tiers with an excellent combination of accessibility and affordability.

• Can I get internet without an annual contract?

• Absolutely. All of Verizon’s internet only plans are designed to be no-annual contract internet services. We offer a wide variety of speed options starting at 200/200 Mbps all the way up to crazy-fast speeds of up to 940/880 Mbps in some areas that can power up to 100 devices at once. So you have the freedom and flexibility to choose the speed you need a price that meets your budget, without being locked into a two- or three-year long-term contract.

• Can I get Wi-Fi without an internet provider?

• Yes and no. If you want to access the internet regularly through your Wi-Fi, you will need an internet service provider (ISP), or you will need to be connected to someone else’s wireless network who has an ISP.
  
  If you only need occasional access to the internet and you subscribe to a wireless plan, you can tether your phone and use it as a mobile hotspot to get Wi-Fi. Keep in mind, though, that if you are only allowed a certain amount of data usage per day, you may be charged additional fees if you exceed your data cap.
