To get started, make sure you have...

Your old and new phones. A solid Wi-Fi connection. Your Verizon account PIN. And your Apple or Google account info.

Smart Setup will walk you through every step. I'll show you what to expect.

First, you just select the type of your old and new phone to customize your experience.

After that, you'll decide how you want to get your content from your old phone to your new one.

There are a few backup and transfer options to choose from based on which phones you have.

If you're not sure which one you want, there's info to help you choose.

The next step is to set up your new phone.

Select your phone, and the step-by-step guides will walk you through the activation and setup process.

You'll also get prompts as you follow along on your new phone.

How fast the whole process goes depends on a few different things, including your WiFi connection speed and how much data is being transferred to your new phone.
