Yes, I'd recommend this product.
The camera does everything it should but not perfectly. It will drop off the system from time to time. I have an original DropCam. I have been using the service for around 2+ years now. I have one camera at a home in Florida and one in Ohio. I will be putting in another camera in Ohio. I have all my cameras on the Nest recording service which works very, very well. That never appears to fail. It is important to have that service because without it there is no way to look back. If something happened then you can record a permanent clip of it and have the record available indefinitely. I am very satisfied with the equipment and the service. Some people complain that they must pay for the recording service. It is worth it for off premises storage of what could be extremely valuable information. The one security downside is that it works off the wi-fi and it can be interrupted by someone who knows how. If you want higher security you can use 3 or 4G service through one of the cell phone companies and your connection will be very secure. It will just cost you more per month and may very well be worth it to you. The images on my old camera are excellent and the microphone since Nest took over can pick up sounds like low level conversation 40-50 feet away with ease. The clarity is amazing to me and I think it is due to something that Nest did to the system. I would imagine that their camera may be even better, but I don't know that for a fact. All in all, if you have any need for a camera this is the one. I have tried others and nothing compares with the Nest (formerly DropCam) cameras. They are easy to install and very reliable. The have a wide range of vision and work well in very low light. What else do you want?
Great camera with many features

Actually I have the predecessor of Nest Cam, the Nest Dropcam. Have had for several years and the comfort of knowing that Nest cameras will record and store on the cloud all activity is very comforting. With the App you can check in anytime. The quality of the picture is unreal even in total darkness. Need several more, there great!
Great camera for monitoring pets

I bought this camera to monitor my puppy while I'm out of the house. It works perfectly. I'm able to pull the video up and watch him right through the Nest app. It's extremely fast and efficient. Definitely would recommend to anyone!

It was really easy to setup and to use. Has a magnet in the base so you can just set it on a metal shelf.

Nice clear camera- "hears" conversation clearly- you can talk clearly thru its built in speaker if needed- very nice indoor camera-was ez to set up- connect with wifi and figure out- only concern I had was the camera itself gets quite warm- I assume this is normal also comes with nice wall mount in box if needed

This is an amazing camera. I’m using it indoors to look out a window near the main entrance. It can identify people in the distance. It seems to handle both intense sunlight and darkness. It is pretty reliable. It did go out during a major thunderstorm. I’m not sure why. It could’ve been related to the Internet connection. It was incredibly easy to set up
