If you've forgotten your router user name or password, you must reset your router to the factory defaults. This allows you to access the configuration utility where you can set up your network, as well as create a new user name and password.

To reset your Verizon router:

1. With the power on (Power LED on front panel should be lit green), use the pointed end of a paper clip to press and hold the Reset button for 10 seconds.

2. Release the Reset button. The Verizon router will automatically reboot itself. Wait 15 seconds before resuming setup.

3. The router will return to the default settings of admin as the user name and password as the password. The SSID and WEP encryption key have also returned to the settings printed on the label affixed to the bottom of your router.

4. If you kept the default security settings in Step 4, click the Back button below and enter admin as the user name and password as the password. You can then continue with the instructions that follow.
If you changed the security settings in Step 4, you must return to Step 4 and repeat the steps to configure your security settings.

1. Remove the CD from the CD-ROM drive and click Exit on the Installer screen.


2. After your computer restarts, shut it down so you can connect the USB adapter.


3. Connect one end of the USB cable to the connector at the back of the USB adapter.


4. Insert the other end of the cable into an available USB port in your computer.


5. Turn the computer back on. If the "Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard" displays, select No, not this time.

6. Select Install the software automatically (Recommended) when the "Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard" screen displays.

7. Click Next.

1. The D-Link wireless icon () will display in the right Taskbar. If the icon is green, the wireless notebook adapter is installed and you are ready to access the Internet.

2. If the "Wireless networks detected" message displays near the right Taskbar, click anywhere in the message to access the Windows Wireless Network Connection utility.

Note: If the networks detected message doesn't display, double-click on the Windows network connection icon () in the right Taskbar.

3. When the "Choose a Wireless network" window displays, select your wireless network and click Connect.
