5G stands for the fifth generation of mobile communications, or the next generation of wireless connectivity. With a home internet service like Verizon 5G Home Internet powered by 5G Ultra Wideband, you can expect ultra-fast wireless internet with typical download speeds of 300 Mbps and max speeds of up to 1 Gbps. Typical upload speeds are around 50 Mbps, with no data caps.

Verizon’s 5G Home Internet relies on the power of Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband, which is available to mobile customers in parts of select cities. With both services, you can get fast internet speeds with ultra-low lag to power many devices at once. But there are some important differences between the two. With Verizon mobile 5G service, customers use a 5G-enabled phone capable of receiving 5G radio waves to connect to the network wherever there’s 5G tower coverage.

Verizon 5G Home Internet, meanwhile, is a fixed wireless access service (FWA) powered by 5G Ultra Wideband that provides ultra-fast Wi-Fi connections to the home. And switching to 5G Home is easy. Verizon has already launched a 5G wireless network built to connect your home with cutting-edge internet that’s ready for what comes next. The cost for Verizon 5G Home Internet is $50 per month with Auto Pay and paperless billing if you have a qualifying Verizon Wireless phone plan of $30 or more* on your account. If you don’t have a qualifying Verizon Wireless plan of $30 or more, the cost is $70 per month with Auto Pay and paperless billing.

Taxes and fees are included in the 5G Home charges, along with the 5G Internet Gateway and router for outdoor setup if needed.
